Living Hope began as a group of people meeting in living rooms and backyards. There were two things that knit us together: our love for Jesus and our love for Eaton Rapids. Today, we're a group of everyday people from all walks of life, united by our shared journey of faith, who believe that a relationship with Jesus changes everything.
With this in mind, we've made it our mission to connect people to the living hope of Jesus Christ. We pray often and hard for our church and our community, for us to know Jesus and to make him known. You'll hear us say this often: "We strive to be the church where we live, work, and play." That's why at Living Hope, every area of ministry seeks to connect people to Jesus for life change. We seek to orient our lives and attention around the person and ministry of Jesus and His gospel. Everything done at Living Hope is driven by the desire to see people connect with Jesus and live for Him.
At Living Hope, we desire to be a church that has a real and tangible impact in Eaton Rapids and surrounding communities. If we are going to have an impact in our community and bear much fruit for God’s glory, we must be firmly grounded with deep roots. Here are six roots that will take Living Hope deep for the purpose of a great impact in our community and around the world.
1. Teaching: Teaching God's Word boldly without excuse or apology.
2. Worship: Passionately exalting Jesus through Gospel-motivated worship.
3. Prayer: Pursuing God through the power of prayer for all things at all times.
4. Evangelism: Declaring and displaying the life changing message of Jesus.
5. Generosity: Joyfully and sacrificially giving away what God already owns.
6. Multiplication: Developing leaders to share the good news of Jesus with everyone.
